YARMOUTH, Maine—ASIS International reached a major milestone at the beginning of January when Eduard Emde took the helm as president. For the first time in its 56-year existence, the global organization has a president who sits at a desk somewhere other than in the United States.

ORLANDO, Fla.—There will be some new faces at the upcoming ASIS International 57th Annual Seminar and Exhibits here on Sept. 19-22. ASIS announced on Feb. 24 that (ISC)2, a not-for-profit membership body of certified information security professionals worldwide, will co-locate its first annual (ISC)² Security Congress with the ASIS this year.
