To try to balance my sheer negativity today (the first news article I read this morning was of the horrible plane crash in Turkey and, on a much less serious note, we took our company holiday card photo today), I am attempting to only post positive news. And how can scholarship announcements be anything else!
The Loss Prevention Foundation Scholarship Committee dispersed is first scholarships as part of the foundation’s scholarship program. Recipients include students from the University of Florida, Northern Michigan University, the University of North Carolina-Charlotte and Eastern Kentucky University. Did you miss out on this round? On January 1, 2008, the foundation will accept scholarship applications for 2008. More information can be found here.
We've been talking about increasing the professionalism of practitioners in the industry for some time. Good to see that even though a lot of progress has been made, programs like this continue to build more interest in security/LP as a career.
