Those were some of the views on video analytics shared by experts during a panel discussing the topic at this year’s TechSec conference.

CAMDEN, N.J.—Agilence, Inc., a provider of point-of-service video auditing solutions, announced on April 12 that it has purchased the assets of video analytics company Vidient Systems, Inc. Vidient went out of business in 2010.

Play ball: Securing the Little League World Series

SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT, Pa.—On Aug. 29 the Edogawa Minami Little League team from Toyko, Japan, defeated the Wiapahu, Hawaii, team, 4-1, in front of 29,812 fans during the Little League Baseball World Series. The victory ended nine days of competition between 16 teams from around the world, in which about 200 children, aged 11 and 12, compete for the title.
