LAS VEGAS—The ability of airports to respond quickly and efficiently to an incident has become absolutely critical, not only from a security and safety perspective, but also from an operations standpoint.

LAS VEGAS—Protecting students on an urban campus is always challenging, but when a university faces high levels of crime, including gang activity, ensuring safety requires more than a standard policing approach.

LAS VEGAS—With 916 booths, slightly more than last year, and crowded aisles, ISC West is preliminarily being labeled a strong show this year by attendees and exhibitors. “It’s back up there, getting toward 1,000 booths again,” said Fredrik Nilsson, general manager, Americas, at Axis Communications.

NORWALK, Conn.—Everybody wants to grab the attention of end users, especially when there are dollars involved. It’s a scene played out over and over, and is especially apparent at security conferences and expositions. While these shows are a great way for end users to discover different manufacturers and an opportunity to compare products, it often becomes difficult for end users to fend off the masses of manufacturers vying for their attention.
