Napolitano becomes a blogger
Tuesday, June 16, 2009 8:04Those of us in the security blogosphere just got ourselves some stiff competition. The Department of Homeland Security just announced it has launched a blog. It’s conveniently called “The Blog @ Homeland Security.” (And referred throughout the release as ‘The Blog’)
According to the statement, The Blog is designed to keep the public informed about the department’s activities including breaking news, public events and new initiatives by the department.
The first blog post features Secretary Napolitano outlining the five responsibilities of the department. To be honest, I couldn’t get through the entire video, which might having something to do with being on deadline or could be because I’m spoiled by the best security broadcast medium out there.
Either way, I’m interested to see how useful The Blog is in keeping me up to speed with DHS.
